We direct source our single origin, heirloom cacao from small family farms along the Ucayali River in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. It is sustainably and ethically grown using regenerative agroforestry to create positive change for the growers, the cacao, and the earth.

I am a huge lover of hot chocolate, and I first discovered Ma Cacao at my local farmers market. I was hooked from the first sip. I cannot drink coffee, so this has become part of my morning routine for the past six months.
I usually make it in the morning with hot oat milk and it feels like a really comforting start to the day.
The flavor is what really sets it apart. It is deeply chocolatey and rich, with that real cacao bitterness that good dark chocolate has, but it never feels harsh. The coconut sugar gives it a gentle sweetness that balances the cacao perfectly without making it overly sugary like most hot chocolate mixes.
It also has a thicker, velvety texture that feels closer to melted chocolate than typical cocoa drinks. After drinking this regularly, other hot chocolates taste flat and overly sweet by comparison.
If you love real cacao flavor, this one is incredible.

I love Ma’s mushroom cocoa. It is rich in flavor with a bit of sweetness. I mix it with oat milk and find the combo very soothing. I recommend it highly.
I do wish they would provide specific info on how much of each mushroom type is contained in a serving!
I love this chocolate. I don't need to put any sugar in it. I add some spices and it is a tasty treat in the middle of the day.
Sampled this at a Portland, OR farmer's market and got some, had to order more when I got home to AZ! So delicious, I love the 70%, it isn't too sweet and blends well with every milk I've tried. Will be buying many time over, it's my new staple hot chocolate.

Ever since first trying Holy Rose Cacao several years ago when I lived in Portland and it was being sold at the local Farmer's Market, I've been hooked! Hands down, it's the best drinking chocolate I've ever had, not only in taste, but in how it makes me feel; the combination of cacao with rose, cardamom, beet root, and ashwagandha is a magically synergistic combination with a palpably adaptogenic effect. I use it to make the most deliciously dreamy mocha latte many a day, especially in the cold winter months. My only question and possible critique is that more recent packaging no longer shows ashwagandha in the ingredient list, in contrast to earlier packaging of Holy Rose Cacao and even in contrast to the current website, both of which still shows it listed.
Flavor, velvety consistency... a great product! Highly recommend!
